Karen works hard for the creatures; usually putting in a minimum of a 14 hour day, 7 days a week. After a 20+ year Real Estate career, Karen was called into this ministry to devote herself to loving all of God’s creatures. She loves to see animal’s lives transformed and also occasionally can enjoy movies at the dollar theater and reading brilliant author’s thoughts on animal behavior. Karen is also working to be able to travel more frequently with her rescue efforts.

Debbie (mom) and Lyndsey (daughter) joined Caring4Creatures a little over a year ago. Lyndsey asked Debbie to find her a volunteer opportunity working with animals. After making numerous calls to various rescue organizations and being told over and over again that Lynds wasn’t old enough, Karen’s phone number dropped in Debbie’s lap.

“We were welcomed into the group with open and loving arms. I said that we would do anything we could to help the rescue but that we couldn’t foster. Within 48 hours, we were fostering. I then said no puppies. Over the last year, we have fostered about 20 dogs with half of them being puppies. WE HAVE LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! God has blessed us with the opportunity to help the ones that can’t do it for themselves. We’ve loved them all and in return we’ve received lots and lots of wonderful sloppy doggie kisses.”

Katie lives with her two pups: Baley (4) and Riley (10) who are her loves! She helps out in the organization by setting up and maintaining our web presence in her spare time and filling in any gaps that she is able. She loves being a part of this organization and getting to watch it grow!
